Name On The Net was formed by 2 Java programmers who after searching for a
UK based Java hosting company realised in 1999 there were none. From the beginning
we have based our business operations on the best of open source technology, employing
Linux, Apache and Tomcat to provide a reliable, robust hosting service for our clients.
During this period we've accumulated a wide mix of clients spanning the globe: we are
proud to state that major companies such as Accenture, Jongleurs, Regent Inns, Magex
and Birmingham City Council have all benefited from our services as well as clients
from all around the world.
Continuing on the success of our hosting business, we now offer open source support,
with support options for Linux, Apache, JBoss and Tomcat all available. The last 5 years have been
incredibly exciting for the open source movement as the corporate world has realised
that open source products: Linux / Apache / Tomcat, are more than capable of competing with
